The RODLEY!

ENGINE:
Two cylinder, J.A.P. side valve, air cooled by direct driven impeller, bore 70 m.m.; stroke 97 m.m.; cubic capacity 750 c.c.'s. Compression ration 6 to 1; b.h.p. 20 at 3,800 r.p.m. Detachable cast iron cylinder heads, gear driven cams.

IGNITION:
12 volt coil ignition, automatic advance and retard distributor. Spark plug size 14 m.m.

TRANSMISSION:
Three speed and reverse Albion Gearbox, ratios 5.75-1,10.53-1, 16.8-1. Reverse 21.58. Via robust roller chain to rear axle which incorporates a frictional differential.

BRAKES:
Cam operated internal expanding. 8" x 1.375".

STEERING:
Endless racked chain, two spoke type steering wheel, 16" diam. Turning circle 28 feet.

WHEELS AND TYRES:
Pressed steel, wide based rims, tyres 5.20 x 15. Spare carried forward in luggage compartment.

CHASSIS CONSTRUCTION:
Heavy guage box section, all steel welded throughout.

ELECTRICAL:
12 volt system with compensated voltage control, built in head and side lamps, both headlamps have double filament bulbs for dipping, foot-controlled dip switch, stop and tail lamps, rear number plate lamp, windscreen wiper, self starter.

SUSPENSION:
Front, independent coil springs; rear, underslung semi-elliptic springs.

BODY:
All steel construction, two door, four-seater saloon, available with fabric-covered roll forward roof panel, comfortable seats. Front seats adjustable. Lifting glass side windows.

TANK CAPACITY:
3 3/4 Imperial gallons, 1/2 gallon on reserve. Oil tank 3 1/2 pints.

PERFORMANCE:
Maximum speed 55 m.p.h., cruising speed 40 m.p.h. Fuel consumption at 30 m.p.h. 55 m.p.g.
