We have finally confirmed our room block with the Sheraton Needham Hotel. We have secured a room rate of only $85.00 per night for king or double bed rooms, but you will have to book soon to get this reduced rate as the number of available rooms are limited.

You can also reserve your room by caling the reservation line at 1-781-444-1110, but you must request the special room rate of $85.00 for the Microcar Classic Event, and you must book before June 15, 2009.
I would recommend booking very early, as we were only able to block a smaller number of rooms this year because of other events at the hotel. Consequently, they may sell out early this year, and if they do, we will try to secure another hotel, but it may not be at the same rate, and it may not be as close to the Gould's event.
July 25 Racine, WI Micros On The Monument 2009
Micros on the Monument, a new event that was held in Downtown Racine last year, is returning to Monument Square on Saturday, July 25, 2009. This unique event features a display of vintage micro cars from the 50's and 60's coming from throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Minnesota.
Anyone wishing to display a microcar at this event may contact Jim Garbo at kabinenroller@microcar.org or 262-497-8610.
There is no registration fee or admission charge, but pre-registration is necessary.

August 23 Yorkville IL Orphan Auto Picnic!

August 21-22 Crystal Lake, IL World Meet 2010 & The National Meet of The Vintage Microcar Club
Local microcar collectors and owner/curators of the Small Wonders Micro Car Museum, Ken & Sylvia Weger, along with three other couples, will be hosting the MICRO/MINI CAR WORLD MEET in downtown Crystal Lake at the University Center, located at 100 S. Main Street, on August 21-22, 2010. This is the same group that successfully organized the National Micro/Mini Car meet in 2006, drawing 300 cars and thousands of spectators, making it the biggest National Mini/Micro car event to date.
This will be the first ever WORLD MEET of its kind. Microcar and Minicar owners and their cars, will gather from all over the world to share their enthusiasm for these small wonders. The Weger's are expecting over 500 Micro and Mini cars. Those cars under 500cc are considered to be "Microcars", and those between 500-1500cc are considered "Minicars". Many marques are expected to fill the lush lawns surrounding the University Center. Vendors will provide food and beverages. Alongside the car show, workshops and classes/seminars are being planned.
