Ok, now that (I think) I've figured out the photo posting issue, I'll start rolling these out over the next few weeks. Here's the first:
From the placard (I can't guarantee it's all accurate):
1957 BMW Isetta 300
Larry and Christine Pope
Homassa, FL
- BMW bought the rights to Isetta in '54 from Italy adding a BMW motorcycle engine & sliding side windows. over 103,000 were produced by BMW from '55 to '62.
- A friend inherited this car in '97, asked the current owner to store it and then passed away in '99. The current owner married his widow and restored the car.
- The restoration was done by the current owner except for the drive train. Werner Schwark of Isettas R Us rebuilt the drive train & was a great source for parts.
- The first show was the AACA National Meet in Melbourne, FL in March of 2012 where the car received its first Junior.
- In June of 2012, the car competed at the AACA National Meet in Shelbyville, TN and received a Senior Award.
It did not win any awards at HHI this year. But it is a nice looking car!

Well, 3 of the 4 photos would post - still not sure why the last one won't. I'll post another car next week.
